My name is Uma, and I’m so happy that you’re here!
I am a Neuroscience & Applied Cognition graduate student, dedicated to studying the power of our brains through my research interests in the neurobiology of memory processing, psychedelic studies, neuroplasticity, and cancer survivorship. I am also a board-certified Mental Health Peer Specialist (MHPS), in service of others through my mental health peer support practice.
I am a survivor of metastatic thyroid cancer, autoimmune diseases, and chronic illnesses. My survivorship serves as the bedrock of my advocacy, carried out through my work as a support group facilitator, mental health advocate, public speaker, writer, and legislative advocate.
Welcome to my website, where you will find all of my projects, offerings, and events. I’m so excited to connect with you!
